Outrageous Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chewy centre. Crispy exterior. my mouth just came...came back to life that is! although, now that we're kind of on the topic, excess amounts of drool does seem like another similar physiological function in response to... oh nevermind.

These cookies are drool worthy, and they just might make your loved ones (or the milk-man, or cleaning-lady or your minister...) drool for you, if you know what i mean *wink-wink* wait, what? And they are so super simple you will just want to make them again and again. And eat them again and again... and people will stare, but you won't care because you know your mouth is getting way more action than theirs. suckerrrss.

What you need:
1.5 C flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt/more if desired
3/4 C margarine
1/2C plus about 2tbsps white sugar. I'm generous with sugar LOL.
1/2C plus about 2 tbsps of brown sugar (I usually add slightly more brown than white)
1 egg
less than/approx. 1/2 tbsp of vanilla... its not rocket science just go based on what you prefer in vanilla taste
3/4 C plus a couple tablespoons more rolled oats (the quick kind)
3/4 C semisweet chocolate chips (or more if you like them very chocolaty - i wouldn't go over 1and 1/4 C TOTAL of your add-ins.
{optional 1/4C - scant1/2C other white, dark, or milk chocolate chips/peanut butter chips/nuts/ whatever you like in addition to your 3/4C chocolate chips}

What you need to do:

step one:
Preheat oven to 350. This is very important; don't forget this part.

step two:
Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl, and mix/sift altogether with a fork --or if your not ghetto like me use one of those fancy mixing utensils (aka a whisk.) set this sh*t aside.

step three:
In a separate bowl* cream together the margarine, white sugar and brown sugar.  when i say cream, i mean really whip the crap out of those ingredients until it looks all light and fluffy. see below:
*(yes, I said separate bowl. DO NOT be a lazy f*ck and think you can get away with a 'two girls ingredient-mixtures one cup bowl' kind of thing... we all know how that ends. not good at all.

my photography skills are sh*t, i apologize.

step four: Beat the egg into the wet ingredients (margarine and sugars). Add the vanilla

step five: Take the dry ingredients (flour and sh*t) and slowly mix it into the wet ingredients bowl. Be slow and gentle with it!

step six: Add the oats, stir gently, then the chocolate chips and whatever the heck else you wanna throw in there!  BUT STILL BE GENTLE. Use a spatula, and only mix until combined. nooo overmixing.

Scoop/spoon out tablespoon sized portions of dough and roll them up in balls (think ping-pong sized to golf ball sized) and place on a non-stick cookie sheet, leaving about an inch/~inch and a half of space among them. You probably don't have to roll them into strictly-rounded-balls, I just like gently fondling my balls of dough... then licking the dough off my hands after...

Don't look at me like that. We ALL do it.

Size doesn't matter-- just make sure you watch them carefully in the oven. If they are bigger balls, you may want to take your palm and pat them down ever so gently so they won't be fried on the edges and uncooked in the centre still.

Bake for about 7 mins, then rotate the pans and switch the rack they're on. Then bake for about another 5-7 mins, until they are a nice light golden colour--you'll wanna watch them at this point since all ovens vary.

What are you waiting for? Get baking, fool.
